This product has been covered by UEI’s 10-year availability guarantee. Please be advised that on March 31, 2023 the 10-year clock was started, and we cannot promise delivery of this product after March 31, 2033.

The UEIPAC 700 offers an unprecedented combination of flexibility, high performance, low cost, and small size. The unit is an ideal solution in a wide variety of measurement and control applications including: Temperature control, Remote vehicle control (UAV and ULV), Hardware in-the-loop (HIL), and more. The UEIPAC is also an ideal solution for a host of embedded DAQ applications as it allows systems to be developed without the cost or the additional space required by an external host computer.

Each UEIPAC 700 Cube contains the PowerPC processor preloaded with the standard Linux operating system (currently 2.6.x). It also contains the ethernet port, a single port ethernet switch, serial port, intercube sync interface, and 7 I/O slots. Configure your PAC by selecting the I/O boards required to match your application. With over 80 different I/O boards available, there's sure to be a configuration to meet your needs.

LINUX Deployments

Your application runs as a regular Linux process giving you access to the standard POSIX API provided by the GNU C runtime library (glibc) as well as any other library that can be compiled for Linux (for example: libxml, libaudiofile…).

To develop programs for the UEIPAC, you will need to purchase a copy of the UEIPAC Linux TK programmers toolkit. The toolkit provides the various items needed to write applications for the UEIPAC. Regardless of the number of cubes you deploy, you need only purchase one programming toolkit. UEIPAC is an embedded Linux-based system with no graphical interface. It is very good at network connectivity, which makes it possible to create remote graphical user interfaces (also known as HMI Human-Machine-Interface).

The UEIPAC cube may be placed on a desk or table or may be mounted to any flat surface/wall, DIN Rail, or in a standard 19" rack. The UEIPAC may be AC, DC or battery powered.

Additional Deployments

  • UEISIM 700 - UEI's powerful and flexible 7-slot, 100Base-T, Simulink Coder target that is ideal for HIL applications.
  • UEIModbus 700 - UEI's flexible 7-slot 100Base-T, industry-standard Modbus TCP-based data acquisition and control chassis.
  • UEIOPCUA 700 - UEI's 7-slot 100Base-T Cube based I/O chassis fully supported by your standard OPC-UA client.
